About this package

This standard panel adds free PSA to the basic one. When total PSA falls in the grey zone, the proportion of free PSA helps separate benign enlargement from other causes, which can spare some men an unnecessary biopsy. AFP and CEA remain as broader markers, and the blood count checks for anaemia or abnormal cell counts. Like all tumour-marker panels, it works best when requested for a reason and read by a doctor who knows you. It does not replace examination, imaging or recommended screening tests.

A standard men's tumour-marker panel: AFP, CEA, total and free PSA with a blood count.

What does this package cover?

The 5 tests are grouped into 2 health areas:

Blood count & inflammation 1 test

Red cells, white cells and platelets, blood group, and general inflammation markers.

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)

RBC count, haemoglobin, haematocrit, WBC count with differential (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, basophils), platelet count, and red-cell indices (MCV, MCH, MCHC).

Tumour markers 4 tests

Blood markers doctors use alongside examination and imaging - a normal value does not rule out cancer.

5 tests included (30 parameters)

Why consider this package?

  • 5 laboratory investigations in one booking
  • Looks at 2 health areas together, not in isolation
  • All samples collected in a single home visit
  • Costs ₹1,096 less than booking the tests separately
  • Useful for preventive screening, or when your doctor wants these tests together
  • Pathologist-reviewed reports shared online

Who is this package for?

Designed for

Men

Age group

40+ years

Purpose

Health screening

Men over forty with prostate-related symptoms, a borderline PSA on an earlier test, or a family history that makes follow-up sensible.

How often should you get it done?

As advised by your doctor, usually spaced several months apart.

Not everyone needs every test. Whether this package suits you depends on your age, symptoms, family history and any ongoing treatment - your doctor can advise.

What can you learn from this package?

The package can provide information about:

  • Blood count & inflammation - Complete Blood Count (CBC)
  • Tumour markers - Alpha Feto Protein (AFP), Carcino Embryonic Antigen (CEA), Free PSA and PSA Total (Prostate Marker)

A package gives individual results for each test - it does not diagnose disease by itself.

How to prepare

  • No fasting is required for this package.
  • Drink water as usual, and avoid alcohol and strenuous exercise for 24 hours before.
  • Take your regular medicines unless your doctor advises otherwise, and tell the phlebotomist what you take.
  • Wear a loose-sleeved top so the blood sample can be collected easily.

Understanding your package report

Your report lists the result of each test separately, with its own unit and reference range. Values outside the range are highlighted.

There is no single overall "health score" - each result is read on its own and then together with the others. One out-of-range value is not a diagnosis, and a normal report does not guarantee you are completely healthy.

Share the report with your doctor, who will interpret it with your symptoms and history. Call us if you need help reading it.

Frequently asked questions

What does a low free-to-total PSA ratio suggest?

A lower ratio is more often seen with prostate cancer, and a higher one with benign enlargement. It guides the next step, such as a repeat test or MRI, and is never used alone.

Can a urinary infection affect the result?

Yes. Prostate or urinary infections can raise PSA, so doctors often treat the infection and retest after some weeks.

Do I need to fast?

You can have this test done after eating, so there is nothing to prepare.
