About this package

Fever can come from the blood, the gut or the urinary tract, and this panel checks all three routes. Dengue NS1 with IgM covers early and slightly later dengue, malaria antigen and Typhi Dot IgM look for those infections, and a urine routine looks for a urinary tract infection, a surprisingly common hidden cause of fever. ESR and CRP show the level of inflammation, and the blood count tracks white cells and platelets. With 55 parameters it is a good all-round starting point for a fever with no obvious source.

A comprehensive fever panel: dengue NS1 and IgM, malaria, typhoid, urine routine, ESR, CRP and blood count.

What does this package cover?

The 8 tests are grouped into 4 health areas:

Blood count & inflammation 3 tests

Red cells, white cells and platelets, blood group, and general inflammation markers.

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)

RBC count, haemoglobin, haematocrit, WBC count with differential (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, basophils), platelet count, and red-cell indices (MCV, MCH, MCHC).

  • CRP (C-Reactive Protein)

The level of C-reactive protein circulating in the blood, which rises within hours of an inflammatory trigger.

  • ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate)

The rate at which red blood cells settle in a vertical tube over 60 minutes.

Infections 3 tests

Screens for common infections such as hepatitis, HIV, syphilis, dengue, malaria and typhoid.

  • Dengue - IgM (ELISA)

IgM antibodies against the dengue virus, which typically appear around day 4-5 of illness and fade over a few weeks to months.

  • Dengue NS1 Antigen

Dengue NS1 Antigen is a blood test. Early dengue detection - positive from day 1 of fever.

  • Malaria Antigen Test

Malaria Antigen Test is a blood test. Rapid detection of malaria parasite antigens.

Urine 1 test

Routine urine analysis for infection, sugar, protein and kidney clues.

  • Urine Routine & Microscopic Examination

Physical characteristics (colour, clarity), chemical markers (protein, glucose, ketones, blood, pH), and microscopic examination for cells, crystals, casts and bacteria in a urine sample.

Other tests 1 test

Additional tests included in this package.

  • Typhi Dot IgM

Typhi Dot IgM is a blood test. Typhi Dot IgM looks for evidence of infection - antigen, antibody or genetic material - to help confirm the cause of symptoms and guide treatment.

8 tests included (55 parameters)

Why consider this package?

  • Looks at 4 health areas together, not in isolation
  • All samples collected in a single home visit

Who is this package for?

Designed for

Men & women

Age group

All ages

Purpose

Health screening

People with fever lasting more than two days without an obvious cause, and those with fever plus burning urine or back pain.

How often should you get it done?

Only during illness. Your doctor chooses any follow-up tests from what this result shows.

Not everyone needs every test. Whether this package suits you depends on your age, symptoms, family history and any ongoing treatment - your doctor can advise.

What can you learn from this package?

The package can provide information about:

  • Blood count & inflammation - Complete Blood Count (CBC), CRP (C-Reactive Protein) and ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate)
  • Infections - Dengue - IgM (ELISA), Dengue NS1 Antigen and Malaria Antigen Test
  • Urine - Urine Routine & Microscopic Examination
  • Other tests - Typhi Dot IgM

A package gives individual results for each test - it does not diagnose disease by itself.

How to prepare

  • No fasting is required for this package.
  • Drink water as usual, and avoid alcohol and strenuous exercise for 24 hours before.
  • Take your regular medicines unless your doctor advises otherwise, and tell the phlebotomist what you take.
  • For the urine test, a first-morning, mid-stream sample in the sterile container we provide is best.
  • Wear a loose-sleeved top so the blood sample can be collected easily.

Understanding your package report

Your report lists the result of each test separately, with its own unit and reference range. Values outside the range are highlighted.

There is no single overall "health score" - each result is read on its own and then together with the others. One out-of-range value is not a diagnosis, and a normal report does not guarantee you are completely healthy.

Share the report with your doctor, who will interpret it with your symptoms and history. Call us if you need help reading it.

Frequently asked questions

Why test urine for a fever?

Urinary infections cause fever without much pain, especially in older adults, children and people with diabetes. A urine routine is a quick way to check.

What does a raised ESR with a normal CRP mean?

ESR rises slowly and stays up longer, so it can be high after an infection that CRP has already stopped reporting, or in anaemia or chronic illness. Your doctor reads both together.

How do I give the urine sample?

Use the clean container we supply and collect a mid-stream sample, ideally the first of the morning.
