About this package

A quick screen for the three most common hepatitis viruses. Hepatitis A IgM shows recent infection with the foodborne virus, HBsAg shows current hepatitis B, and anti-HCV shows exposure to hepatitis C. The blood count looks at the general response. No fasting is needed, so it can be done at short notice for someone who is unwell or has had a recent exposure.

A basic hepatitis screening without fasting: hepatitis A IgM, hepatitis B surface antigen, hepatitis C antibody and a blood count.

What does this package cover?

The 4 tests are grouped into 2 health areas:

Blood count & inflammation 1 test

Red cells, white cells and platelets, blood group, and general inflammation markers.

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)

RBC count, haemoglobin, haematocrit, WBC count with differential (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, basophils), platelet count, and red-cell indices (MCV, MCH, MCHC).

Infections 3 tests

Screens for common infections such as hepatitis, HIV, syphilis, dengue, malaria and typhoid.

4 tests included (29 parameters)

Why consider this package?

  • 4 laboratory investigations in one booking
  • Looks at 2 health areas together, not in isolation
  • All samples collected in a single home visit
  • Costs ₹347 less than booking the tests separately
  • Useful for preventive screening, or when your doctor wants these tests together
  • Pathologist-reviewed reports shared online

Who is this package for?

Designed for

Men & women

Age group

All ages

Purpose

Health screening

People with yellow eyes, dark urine, nausea after eating outside, and those needing a quick hepatitis screen.

How often should you get it done?

Once for assessment. After that, your doctor will tell you when a repeat is worthwhile.

Not everyone needs every test. Whether this package suits you depends on your age, symptoms, family history and any ongoing treatment - your doctor can advise.

What can you learn from this package?

The package can provide information about:

  • Blood count & inflammation - Complete Blood Count (CBC)
  • Infections - Anti HCV (Hepatitis C Antibody), Anti Hepatitis A Virus (ANTI HAV) - IgM and HBsAg (Hepatitis B Surface Antigen)

A package gives individual results for each test - it does not diagnose disease by itself.

How to prepare

  • No fasting is required for this package.
  • Drink water as usual, and avoid alcohol and strenuous exercise for 24 hours before.
  • Take your regular medicines unless your doctor advises otherwise, and tell the phlebotomist what you take.
  • Wear a loose-sleeved top so the blood sample can be collected easily.

Understanding your package report

Your report lists the result of each test separately, with its own unit and reference range. Values outside the range are highlighted.

There is no single overall "health score" - each result is read on its own and then together with the others. One out-of-range value is not a diagnosis, and a normal report does not guarantee you are completely healthy.

Share the report with your doctor, who will interpret it with your symptoms and history. Call us if you need help reading it.

Frequently asked questions

What are the first signs of hepatitis A?

Tiredness, nausea, loss of appetite, fever, dark urine and then yellow eyes and skin. Most recover with rest and fluids over a few weeks.

Should I avoid cooking for others if I have it?

Yes. Hepatitis A spreads through hands and food, so careful handwashing and avoiding food preparation while infectious are important.

Is fasting needed?

No fasting is needed. If you take a supplement daily, say so at the time of the visit.
