About this package

The essentials for assessing stroke risk. Cholesterol and sugar damage the vessels that supply the brain, CRP shows inflammation within them, and the PT/INR checks how well the blood clots, which is especially useful if you take warfarin. The blood count looks for conditions that thicken the blood or cause anaemia. High blood pressure, the biggest single cause of stroke, is measured in a clinic and not through these blood tests.

A basic stroke risk screening: lipid profile, HbA1c, CRP, PT/INR and a blood count.

What does this package cover?

The 5 tests are grouped into 4 health areas:

Blood count & inflammation 2 tests

Red cells, white cells and platelets, blood group, and general inflammation markers.

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)

RBC count, haemoglobin, haematocrit, WBC count with differential (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, basophils), platelet count, and red-cell indices (MCV, MCH, MCHC).

  • CRP (C-Reactive Protein)

The level of C-reactive protein circulating in the blood, which rises within hours of an inflammatory trigger.

Diabetes & blood sugar 1 test

Current and 3-month average blood sugar, plus insulin markers for diabetes and insulin resistance.

  • HbA1c (Glycated Haemoglobin)

The percentage of haemoglobin in red blood cells that has glucose attached to it (glycated) - since red cells live about 120 days, this reflects average blood sugar over that period.

Heart & cholesterol 1 test

Blood fats and inflammation markers that together indicate the risk of heart disease and stroke.

  • Lipid Profile

Total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, triglycerides, and the calculated VLDL and total cholesterol/HDL ratio.

Blood clotting 1 test

Checks how well and how quickly your blood clots.

  • PT INR(PROTHROMBIN TIME)

PT INR(PROTHROMBIN TIME) is a blood test. PT INR(PROTHROMBIN TIME) evaluates how the blood clots. It is used to investigate bleeding or clotting tendencies and to monitor blood-thinner therapy.

5 tests included (39 parameters)

Why consider this package?

  • 5 laboratory investigations in one booking
  • Looks at 4 health areas together, not in isolation
  • All samples collected in a single home visit
  • Costs ₹646 less than booking the tests separately
  • Useful for preventive screening, or when your doctor wants these tests together
  • Pathologist-reviewed reports shared online

Who is this package for?

Designed for

Men & women

Age group

All ages

Purpose

Health screening

Adults over forty-five with high blood pressure, diabetes or a family history of stroke, and those on blood thinners.

How often should you get it done?

Once a year. Compare it with last year's report to see how your numbers are moving.

Not everyone needs every test. Whether this package suits you depends on your age, symptoms, family history and any ongoing treatment - your doctor can advise.

What can you learn from this package?

The package can provide information about:

  • Blood count & inflammation - Complete Blood Count (CBC) and CRP (C-Reactive Protein)
  • Diabetes & blood sugar - HbA1c (Glycated Haemoglobin)
  • Heart & cholesterol - Lipid Profile
  • Blood clotting - PT INR(PROTHROMBIN TIME)

A package gives individual results for each test - it does not diagnose disease by itself.

How to prepare

  • Fast for 10 to 12 hours before the sample - plain water is allowed. An early-morning slot makes this easier.
  • Drink water as usual, and avoid alcohol and strenuous exercise for 24 hours before.
  • Take your regular medicines unless your doctor advises otherwise, and tell the phlebotomist what you take.
  • Wear a loose-sleeved top so the blood sample can be collected easily.

Understanding your package report

Your report lists the result of each test separately, with its own unit and reference range. Values outside the range are highlighted.

There is no single overall "health score" - each result is read on its own and then together with the others. One out-of-range value is not a diagnosis, and a normal report does not guarantee you are completely healthy.

Share the report with your doctor, who will interpret it with your symptoms and history. Call us if you need help reading it.

Frequently asked questions

What is INR?

A standardised way of reporting how long blood takes to clot. People on warfarin have a target range, which their doctor adjusts the dose to maintain.

What is the most important stroke risk factor?

High blood pressure. Regular checks at home or in clinic matter more than any single lab test.

How should I prepare?

Keep your stomach empty for ten to twelve hours, drinking water only until the sample.
