About this package

Strong bone depends on a quiet hormonal conversation between the gut, the kidneys and the parathyroid glands. Calcium and magnesium are the minerals, vitamin D controls how much the gut absorbs, and parathyroid hormone adjusts levels minute by minute. When one part falters, the others compensate, and bone pays the price over the years. The kidney function test is included because the kidneys activate vitamin D and clear phosphate, while CRP and the blood count screen for inflammation and anaemia that can accompany chronic disease. The set is useful for people with unexplained low calcium, repeated fractures or persistent bone pain.

Checks how well the body controls bone minerals: calcium, magnesium, PTH, vitamin D and kidney function.

What does this package cover?

The 7 tests are grouped into 3 health areas:

Blood count & inflammation 2 tests

Red cells, white cells and platelets, blood group, and general inflammation markers.

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)

RBC count, haemoglobin, haematocrit, WBC count with differential (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, basophils), platelet count, and red-cell indices (MCV, MCH, MCHC).

  • CRP (C-Reactive Protein)

The level of C-reactive protein circulating in the blood, which rises within hours of an inflammatory trigger.

Kidney & electrolytes 1 test

How well your kidneys filter waste, plus the salts (electrolytes) they keep in balance.

  • Kidney Function Test

Blood urea/BUN, serum creatinine, eGFR (estimated glomerular filtration rate), uric acid, sodium, potassium, chloride, and calcium.

Vitamins, bone & minerals 4 tests

Vitamin D, B12, folate and the minerals and hormones that keep bones and nerves healthy.

  • Calcium

Calcium is a blood test. Calcium is a diagnostic laboratory test carried out on a blood sample. Your doctor may advise it to screen for, diagnose or monitor a related condition, with results reported against standard reference ranges.

  • Magnesium

Magnesium is a blood test. Magnesium is a diagnostic laboratory test carried out on a blood sample. Your doctor may advise it to screen for, diagnose or monitor a related condition, with results reported against standard reference ranges.

  • PTH - Intact (Parathyroid Hormone)

The concentration of intact parathyroid hormone in the blood, which is interpreted alongside calcium levels.

  • Vitamin D (25-OH)

25-hydroxyvitamin D (the combined D2 + D3 form), which is the most accurate indicator of overall vitamin D status in the body.

7 tests included (41 parameters)

Why consider this package?

  • 7 laboratory investigations in one booking
  • Looks at 3 health areas together, not in isolation
  • All samples collected in a single home visit
  • Costs ₹694 less than booking the tests separately
  • Useful for preventive screening, or when your doctor wants these tests together
  • Pathologist-reviewed reports shared online

Who is this package for?

Designed for

Men & women

Age group

All ages

Purpose

Health screening

People with unexplained bone pain, fractures, kidney stones or abnormal calcium on an earlier report, and those with long-standing kidney or digestive conditions.

How often should you get it done?

Once to establish the pattern, then as your doctor advises while correcting any deficiency.

Not everyone needs every test. Whether this package suits you depends on your age, symptoms, family history and any ongoing treatment - your doctor can advise.

What can you learn from this package?

The package can provide information about:

  • Blood count & inflammation - Complete Blood Count (CBC) and CRP (C-Reactive Protein)
  • Kidney & electrolytes - Kidney Function Test
  • Vitamins, bone & minerals - Calcium, Magnesium, PTH - Intact (Parathyroid Hormone) and Vitamin D (25-OH)

A package gives individual results for each test - it does not diagnose disease by itself.

How to prepare

  • No fasting is required for this package.
  • Drink water as usual, and avoid alcohol and strenuous exercise for 24 hours before.
  • Take your regular medicines unless your doctor advises otherwise, and tell the phlebotomist what you take.
  • Wear a loose-sleeved top so the blood sample can be collected easily.

Understanding your package report

Your report lists the result of each test separately, with its own unit and reference range. Values outside the range are highlighted.

There is no single overall "health score" - each result is read on its own and then together with the others. One out-of-range value is not a diagnosis, and a normal report does not guarantee you are completely healthy.

Share the report with your doctor, who will interpret it with your symptoms and history. Call us if you need help reading it.

Frequently asked questions

Why is magnesium tested with calcium?

Low magnesium makes calcium harder to correct and can lower PTH output. If calcium refuses to rise with treatment, checking magnesium often explains why.

Does the PTH test need any special timing?

A morning sample is preferred, as PTH varies through the day. You can have this test done after eating, so there is nothing to prepare.

What can raised PTH mean?

Most often it reflects low vitamin D or calcium, in which case it settles with treatment. Less often, an overactive parathyroid gland is the cause, which your doctor will investigate.
