About this package

The standard version adds hepatitis B surface antigen and hepatitis C antibody to the basic medical, which many employers require for food, healthcare and education roles. The blood count, ESR, fasting sugar, liver, kidney and urine tests cover general health. It is a good fit for most corporate joining medicals, and the report is yours to submit.

A standard pre-employment medical with hepatitis B and C screens, blood count, ESR, sugar, liver, kidney and urine tests.

What does this package cover?

The 8 tests are grouped into 6 health areas:

Blood count & inflammation 2 tests

Red cells, white cells and platelets, blood group, and general inflammation markers.

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)

RBC count, haemoglobin, haematocrit, WBC count with differential (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, basophils), platelet count, and red-cell indices (MCV, MCH, MCHC).

  • ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate)

The rate at which red blood cells settle in a vertical tube over 60 minutes.

Diabetes & blood sugar 1 test

Current and 3-month average blood sugar, plus insulin markers for diabetes and insulin resistance.

Liver 1 test

Liver enzymes, bilirubin and proteins that show inflammation, fatty liver or reduced liver function.

  • Liver Function Test (LFT)

SGPT/ALT, SGOT/AST, ALP, GGT, total/direct/indirect bilirubin, total protein, albumin, globulin, and the A/G ratio.

Kidney & electrolytes 1 test

How well your kidneys filter waste, plus the salts (electrolytes) they keep in balance.

  • Kidney Function Test

Blood urea/BUN, serum creatinine, eGFR (estimated glomerular filtration rate), uric acid, sodium, potassium, chloride, and calcium.

Infections 2 tests

Screens for common infections such as hepatitis, HIV, syphilis, dengue, malaria and typhoid.

Urine 1 test

Routine urine analysis for infection, sugar, protein and kidney clues.

  • Urine Routine & Microscopic Examination

Physical characteristics (colour, clarity), chemical markers (protein, glucose, ketones, blood, pH), and microscopic examination for cells, crystals, casts and bacteria in a urine sample.

8 tests included (75 parameters)

Why consider this package?

Who is this package for?

Designed for

Men & women

Age group

All ages

Purpose

Health screening

New joiners in roles that need hepatitis screening, and organisations that ask for a standard medical report.

How often should you get it done?

At joining and then as your employer requires.

Not everyone needs every test. Whether this package suits you depends on your age, symptoms, family history and any ongoing treatment - your doctor can advise.

What can you learn from this package?

The package can provide information about:

  • Blood count & inflammation - Complete Blood Count (CBC) and ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate)
  • Diabetes & blood sugar - Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS)
  • Liver - Liver Function Test (LFT)
  • Kidney & electrolytes - Kidney Function Test
  • Infections - Anti HCV (Hepatitis C Antibody) and HBsAg (Hepatitis B Surface Antigen)
  • Urine - Urine Routine & Microscopic Examination

A package gives individual results for each test - it does not diagnose disease by itself.

How to prepare

  • Fast for 8 to 10 hours before the sample - plain water is allowed. An early-morning slot makes this easier.
  • Drink water as usual, and avoid alcohol and strenuous exercise for 24 hours before.
  • Take your regular medicines unless your doctor advises otherwise, and tell the phlebotomist what you take.
  • For the urine test, a first-morning, mid-stream sample in the sterile container we provide is best.
  • Wear a loose-sleeved top so the blood sample can be collected easily.

Understanding your package report

Your report lists the result of each test separately, with its own unit and reference range. Values outside the range are highlighted.

There is no single overall "health score" - each result is read on its own and then together with the others. One out-of-range value is not a diagnosis, and a normal report does not guarantee you are completely healthy.

Share the report with your doctor, who will interpret it with your symptoms and history. Call us if you need help reading it.

Frequently asked questions

What if my hepatitis B test is positive?

A single positive screen is confirmed with further tests. Many people with hepatitis B live and work normally, and your doctor will advise on care and on vaccinating family members.

Is there a vaccination for hepatitis B?

Yes, a safe vaccine is available, and many employers recommend it for staff in healthcare and similar roles. Ask your doctor.

How should I prepare?

Fast for eight to ten hours, drinking water only until the sample.
