About this package

A shorter review for smokers that leaves out the lung-allergy markers. It checks the lipid profile and HbA1c for heart and diabetes risk, liver function for the liver, CRP and ESR for the long-standing inflammation common in smokers, and a blood count for the effects of smoke on blood cells. It is a quick yearly report that can be a motivating look at what smoking is doing, and a baseline against which to measure the gains from quitting.

A compact smoker wellness panel: lipid profile, HbA1c, liver function, CRP, ESR and a blood count.

What does this package cover?

The 6 tests are grouped into 4 health areas:

Blood count & inflammation 3 tests

Red cells, white cells and platelets, blood group, and general inflammation markers.

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)

RBC count, haemoglobin, haematocrit, WBC count with differential (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, basophils), platelet count, and red-cell indices (MCV, MCH, MCHC).

  • CRP (C-Reactive Protein)

The level of C-reactive protein circulating in the blood, which rises within hours of an inflammatory trigger.

  • ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate)

The rate at which red blood cells settle in a vertical tube over 60 minutes.

Diabetes & blood sugar 1 test

Current and 3-month average blood sugar, plus insulin markers for diabetes and insulin resistance.

  • HbA1c (Glycated Haemoglobin)

The percentage of haemoglobin in red blood cells that has glucose attached to it (glycated) - since red cells live about 120 days, this reflects average blood sugar over that period.

Heart & cholesterol 1 test

Blood fats and inflammation markers that together indicate the risk of heart disease and stroke.

  • Lipid Profile

Total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, triglycerides, and the calculated VLDL and total cholesterol/HDL ratio.

Liver 1 test

Liver enzymes, bilirubin and proteins that show inflammation, fatty liver or reduced liver function.

  • Liver Function Test (LFT)

SGPT/ALT, SGOT/AST, ALP, GGT, total/direct/indirect bilirubin, total protein, albumin, globulin, and the A/G ratio.

6 tests included (51 parameters)

Why consider this package?

  • 6 laboratory investigations in one booking
  • Looks at 4 health areas together, not in isolation
  • All samples collected in a single home visit
  • Costs ₹1,095 less than booking the tests separately
  • Useful for preventive screening, or when your doctor wants these tests together
  • Pathologist-reviewed reports shared online

Who is this package for?

Designed for

Men & women

All ages

Purpose

Health screening

Smokers and recent ex-smokers who want a straightforward yearly check.

How often should you get it done?

Once a year. There is no need to repeat it on a fixed schedule unless your doctor suggests one.

Not everyone needs every test. Whether this package suits you depends on your age, symptoms, family history and any ongoing treatment - your doctor can advise.

What can you learn from this package?

The package can provide information about:

  • Blood count & inflammation - Complete Blood Count (CBC), CRP (C-Reactive Protein) and ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate)
  • Diabetes & blood sugar - HbA1c (Glycated Haemoglobin)
  • Heart & cholesterol - Lipid Profile
  • Liver - Liver Function Test (LFT)

A package gives individual results for each test - it does not diagnose disease by itself.

How to prepare

  • Fast for 10 to 12 hours before the sample - plain water is allowed. An early-morning slot makes this easier.
  • Drink water as usual, and avoid alcohol and strenuous exercise for 24 hours before.
  • Take your regular medicines unless your doctor advises otherwise, and tell the phlebotomist what you take.
  • Wear a loose-sleeved top so the blood sample can be collected easily.

Understanding your package report

Your report lists the result of each test separately, with its own unit and reference range. Values outside the range are highlighted.

There is no single overall "health score" - each result is read on its own and then together with the others. One out-of-range value is not a diagnosis, and a normal report does not guarantee you are completely healthy.

Share the report with your doctor, who will interpret it with your symptoms and history. Call us if you need help reading it.

Frequently asked questions

Why might my haemoglobin be high as a smoker?

Smoke reduces oxygen delivery, so the body makes more red cells to compensate. It usually improves after stopping.

What helps me quit?

A firm quit date, nicotine replacement or prescription aids, counselling and support from family. Your doctor can tailor a plan.

How should I prepare?

Keep your stomach empty for ten to twelve hours, while staying hydrated with water.
