About this package

Smoking harms the arteries, lungs and blood sugar control, and this panel checks the main targets. The lipid profile and HbA1c measure cardiac and diabetes risk, liver function shows the toll on the liver, CRP shows persistent inflammation, which is common in smokers, and the blood count may show a raised haemoglobin and white cells from chronic smoke exposure. Procalcitonin and total IgE help look at infection and allergy in the airways. Blood tests cannot show lung damage or cancer. Smokers should discuss lung function tests and screening with their doctor.

A smoker wellness panel: lipid profile, HbA1c, liver function, CRP, procalcitonin, total IgE and a blood count.

What does this package cover?

The 7 tests are grouped into 6 health areas:

Blood count & inflammation 2 tests

Red cells, white cells and platelets, blood group, and general inflammation markers.

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)

RBC count, haemoglobin, haematocrit, WBC count with differential (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, basophils), platelet count, and red-cell indices (MCV, MCH, MCHC).

  • CRP (C-Reactive Protein)

The level of C-reactive protein circulating in the blood, which rises within hours of an inflammatory trigger.

Diabetes & blood sugar 1 test

Current and 3-month average blood sugar, plus insulin markers for diabetes and insulin resistance.

  • HbA1c (Glycated Haemoglobin)

The percentage of haemoglobin in red blood cells that has glucose attached to it (glycated) - since red cells live about 120 days, this reflects average blood sugar over that period.

Heart & cholesterol 1 test

Blood fats and inflammation markers that together indicate the risk of heart disease and stroke.

  • Lipid Profile

Total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, triglycerides, and the calculated VLDL and total cholesterol/HDL ratio.

Liver 1 test

Liver enzymes, bilirubin and proteins that show inflammation, fatty liver or reduced liver function.

  • Liver Function Test (LFT)

SGPT/ALT, SGOT/AST, ALP, GGT, total/direct/indirect bilirubin, total protein, albumin, globulin, and the A/G ratio.

Allergy 1 test

Measures allergic (IgE) sensitisation to common food and inhaled triggers.

  • Total IGE

The total concentration of IgE antibodies in the blood.

Other tests 1 test

Additional tests included in this package.

  • Procalcitonin

Procalcitonin is a blood test. Procalcitonin is a tumour marker. It is most useful for monitoring a known condition and tracking response to treatment, alongside clinical evaluation.

7 tests included (52 parameters)

Why consider this package?

  • 7 laboratory investigations in one booking
  • Looks at 6 health areas together, not in isolation
  • All samples collected in a single home visit
  • Costs ₹2,744 less than booking the tests separately
  • Useful for preventive screening, or when your doctor wants these tests together
  • Pathologist-reviewed reports shared online

Who is this package for?

Designed for

Men & women

Age group

All ages

Purpose

Health screening

Current and former smokers, people exposed to heavy second-hand smoke, and anyone with a smoker's cough.

How often should you get it done?

Once a year. Repeat it only if symptoms change or your doctor asks for it.

Not everyone needs every test. Whether this package suits you depends on your age, symptoms, family history and any ongoing treatment - your doctor can advise.

What can you learn from this package?

The package can provide information about:

  • Blood count & inflammation - Complete Blood Count (CBC) and CRP (C-Reactive Protein)
  • Diabetes & blood sugar - HbA1c (Glycated Haemoglobin)
  • Heart & cholesterol - Lipid Profile
  • Liver - Liver Function Test (LFT)
  • Allergy - Total IGE
  • Other tests - Procalcitonin

A package gives individual results for each test - it does not diagnose disease by itself.

How to prepare

  • Fast for 10 to 12 hours before the sample - plain water is allowed. An early-morning slot makes this easier.
  • Drink water as usual, and avoid alcohol and strenuous exercise for 24 hours before.
  • Take your regular medicines unless your doctor advises otherwise, and tell the phlebotomist what you take.
  • Wear a loose-sleeved top so the blood sample can be collected easily.

Understanding your package report

Your report lists the result of each test separately, with its own unit and reference range. Values outside the range are highlighted.

There is no single overall "health score" - each result is read on its own and then together with the others. One out-of-range value is not a diagnosis, and a normal report does not guarantee you are completely healthy.

Share the report with your doctor, who will interpret it with your symptoms and history. Call us if you need help reading it.

Frequently asked questions

How soon does quitting help?

Heart risk starts falling within weeks to months, and the benefits keep growing over the years. It is never too late to stop.

Can this panel detect lung cancer?

No. Lung cancer screening needs imaging such as a low-dose CT scan for eligible people. Blood tests assess other effects of smoking.

How should I prepare?

Fast for ten to twelve hours with water allowed, and try not to smoke on the morning of the test.
