Privacy policy

What we collect, why, who sees it, and the choices you have. Last updated 17 October 2026.

HWP Diagnostic Centre & More (“we”, “us”) runs this website, the HWP Diagnostic mobile app and our laboratory in Malad West, Mumbai. This page explains how we handle your personal information. We collect only what we need to book your tests, deliver your reports and keep the website working.

Information you give us

  • When you book or ask for a call-back: your name, mobile number, address for sample collection, e-mail (optional), the tests you choose and your preferred time. If someone books for family members, we also keep their names.
  • When you sign in: your mobile number, to send a one-time code on WhatsApp. We keep your account so you can see your orders and download reports.
  • Prescriptions and reports: files you upload, and the reports our laboratory prepares for you. These are health information. They are visible only to you and to our team who need them to do your tests.
  • When you visit the lab or phone us: our team may note your name, number and the tests you asked about so we can serve you next time.

Information collected while you browse

We keep our own simple record of how the website is used, so we can see which pages help patients and fix what does not work. It includes:

  • the pages you open, how long you stay, how far you scroll, and whether you tap a call, WhatsApp or booking button;
  • the website or advertisement that sent you to us, such as a Google search or a link with a campaign tag;
  • your device type, browser and operating system;
  • your approximate location (city level), worked out from your internet address. We do not store your IP address. It is read once, used to find the city, and then kept only as a one-way scrambled code that cannot be turned back into the address;
  • a random identifier saved in your browser (not your name or number), which lets us tell a returning visitor from a new one.

We also use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand website use. They set their own cookies and receive usage information such as pages visited and device details. We do not send them your name, number or health information.

Your location

We may ask your browser to share your location once. This is entirely optional. If you say no, nothing changes: the website works the same and we will not ask again. If you say yes, we use it only to match you to the nearest area we serve (for example Malad, Kandivali or Goregaon). We do not store your exact coordinates, only that area. You can change this at any time in your browser’s site settings.

Why we use your information

  • to book and carry out your tests, collect your sample, and deliver your reports;
  • to call or message you about your booking, using WhatsApp, phone call, SMS or e-mail;
  • to keep your account secure and prevent misuse;
  • to understand and improve the website and our services.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use your health information for advertising.

Who we share it with

  • Our own team, including the sample collector who visits you.
  • Partner laboratories, only when a test or a location needs one. We share just what they need to do that work, such as your name, number and the test.
  • Service providers who help us run things: message and e-mail delivery, website hosting and analytics. They may handle your information only to provide that service to us.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

How long we keep it, and how we protect it

We keep booking records and reports for as long as needed to serve you and to meet medical-record and legal requirements. Phone numbers collected for call-backs are stored in encrypted form. Access to our admin systems needs a password and is limited to our staff. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care to protect your information.

Your choices

  • You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Some records, such as laboratory reports, may have to be kept for a period by law.
  • You can block cookies and analytics in your browser, or install an opt-out add-on. The website will still work.
  • You can ask us to stop calls or messages that are not about a booking.

This website is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please book through a parent or guardian.
