About this package

Ferritin earns its place in this variant because it behaves in two ways: it falls when iron stores are low from poor absorption or bleeding, and it rises with liver disease and inflammation. Reading it with the liver function test and CRP helps your doctor see which direction the digestive problem is pushing. Amylase and lipase examine the pancreas, and the blood count looks for anaemia. A compact panel for upper abdominal complaints when you also feel tired.

A five-test pancreas and liver screen with ferritin: amylase, lipase, liver function, CRP and a blood count.

What does this package cover?

The 6 tests are grouped into 4 health areas:

Blood count & inflammation 2 tests

Red cells, white cells and platelets, blood group, and general inflammation markers.

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)

RBC count, haemoglobin, haematocrit, WBC count with differential (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, basophils), platelet count, and red-cell indices (MCV, MCH, MCHC).

  • CRP (C-Reactive Protein)

The level of C-reactive protein circulating in the blood, which rises within hours of an inflammatory trigger.

Iron & anaemia 1 test

Iron stores and red-cell production - the commonest causes of anaemia and tiredness.

  • Ferritin

Ferritin is a blood test. Ferritin checks a vitamin or nutrient level so any deficiency can be identified and treated by your doctor.

Liver 1 test

Liver enzymes, bilirubin and proteins that show inflammation, fatty liver or reduced liver function.

  • Liver Function Test (LFT)

SGPT/ALT, SGOT/AST, ALP, GGT, total/direct/indirect bilirubin, total protein, albumin, globulin, and the A/G ratio.

Other tests 2 tests

Additional tests included in this package.

  • Amylase

Amylase is a blood test. Amylase is a diagnostic laboratory test carried out on a blood sample. Your doctor may advise it to screen for, diagnose or monitor a related condition, with results reported against standard reference ranges.

  • Lipase

Lipase is a blood test. Lipase is a diagnostic laboratory test carried out on a blood sample. Your doctor may advise it to screen for, diagnose or monitor a related condition, with results reported against standard reference ranges.

6 tests included (42 parameters)

Why consider this package?

  • 6 laboratory investigations in one booking
  • Looks at 4 health areas together, not in isolation
  • All samples collected in a single home visit
  • Costs ₹945 less than booking the tests separately
  • Useful for preventive screening, or when your doctor wants these tests together
  • Pathologist-reviewed reports shared online

Who is this package for?

Designed for

Men & women

Age group

All ages

Purpose

Health screening

People with upper abdominal discomfort together with tiredness, those with fatty liver, or with a history of heavy alcohol use.

How often should you get it done?

Once for assessment, repeated as symptoms or your doctor advise.

Not everyone needs every test. Whether this package suits you depends on your age, symptoms, family history and any ongoing treatment - your doctor can advise.

What can you learn from this package?

The package can provide information about:

  • Blood count & inflammation - Complete Blood Count (CBC) and CRP (C-Reactive Protein)
  • Iron & anaemia - Ferritin
  • Liver - Liver Function Test (LFT)
  • Other tests - Amylase and Lipase

A package gives individual results for each test - it does not diagnose disease by itself.

How to prepare

  • Fast for 8 to 10 hours before the sample - plain water is allowed. An early-morning slot makes this easier.
  • Drink water as usual, and avoid alcohol and strenuous exercise for 24 hours before.
  • Take your regular medicines unless your doctor advises otherwise, and tell the phlebotomist what you take.
  • Wear a loose-sleeved top so the blood sample can be collected easily.

Understanding your package report

Your report lists the result of each test separately, with its own unit and reference range. Values outside the range are highlighted.

There is no single overall "health score" - each result is read on its own and then together with the others. One out-of-range value is not a diagnosis, and a normal report does not guarantee you are completely healthy.

Share the report with your doctor, who will interpret it with your symptoms and history. Call us if you need help reading it.

Frequently asked questions

Why can ferritin be high?

Liver disease, inflammation, infection and metabolic syndrome can all raise ferritin without iron overload. That is why it is read with the liver tests and CRP.

Is the pain pattern useful to tell my doctor?

Yes. Note when it starts relative to meals, whether it spreads to the back, and what eases it. These details help interpret enzyme results.

How should I prepare?

Fast for eight to ten hours, with plain water allowed.
