About this package

This panel sets two stool tests beside liver and inflammation markers. The stool routine and occult blood look for infection, parasites and hidden bleeding, while the liver function test checks the organ that processes everything absorbed from the gut. CRP shows inflammation, and vitamin B12 and the blood count look for anaemia and absorption problems. It does not include a pancreas or H. pylori test, so it suits people whose main complaint is altered stools, bloating or tiredness.

A six-test stool and liver panel: stool routine, occult blood, liver function, CRP, B12 and a blood count.

What does this package cover?

The 6 tests are grouped into 4 health areas:

Blood count & inflammation 2 tests

Red cells, white cells and platelets, blood group, and general inflammation markers.

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)

RBC count, haemoglobin, haematocrit, WBC count with differential (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, basophils), platelet count, and red-cell indices (MCV, MCH, MCHC).

  • CRP (C-Reactive Protein)

The level of C-reactive protein circulating in the blood, which rises within hours of an inflammatory trigger.

Liver 1 test

Liver enzymes, bilirubin and proteins that show inflammation, fatty liver or reduced liver function.

  • Liver Function Test (LFT)

SGPT/ALT, SGOT/AST, ALP, GGT, total/direct/indirect bilirubin, total protein, albumin, globulin, and the A/G ratio.

Vitamins, bone & minerals 1 test

Vitamin D, B12, folate and the minerals and hormones that keep bones and nerves healthy.

  • Vitamin B12

    Serum vitamin B12 (cobalamin) concentration.

Who is this package for?

Designed for

Men & women

Age group

All ages

Purpose

Health screening

People with loose or irregular stools, bloating, tiredness or a recent unexplained weight change.

How often should you get it done?

Once for assessment. Your doctor will let you know if and when a repeat is useful.

Not everyone needs every test. Whether this package suits you depends on your age, symptoms, family history and any ongoing treatment - your doctor can advise.

What can you learn from this package?

The package can provide information about:

  • Blood count & inflammation - Complete Blood Count (CBC) and CRP (C-Reactive Protein)
  • Liver - Liver Function Test (LFT)
  • Vitamins, bone & minerals - Vitamin B12
  • Other tests - Stool for Occult Blood and Stool Routine

A package gives individual results for each test - it does not diagnose disease by itself.

How to prepare

  • Fast for 8 to 10 hours before the sample - plain water is allowed. An early-morning slot makes this easier.
  • Drink water as usual, and avoid alcohol and strenuous exercise for 24 hours before.
  • Take your regular medicines unless your doctor advises otherwise, and tell the phlebotomist what you take.
  • For the stool test, collect a small sample in the container provided, avoiding contact with urine or water.
  • Wear a loose-sleeved top so the blood sample can be collected easily.

Understanding your package report

Your report lists the result of each test separately, with its own unit and reference range. Values outside the range are highlighted.

There is no single overall "health score" - each result is read on its own and then together with the others. One out-of-range value is not a diagnosis, and a normal report does not guarantee you are completely healthy.

Share the report with your doctor, who will interpret it with your symptoms and history. Call us if you need help reading it.

Frequently asked questions

Can the liver cause digestive symptoms?

Yes. Fatty liver and other liver conditions cause bloating, nausea and discomfort under the right ribs, which is why a liver function test often features in digestive work-ups.

How should I collect the stool sample?

Use the container we give you, collect a small portion from a normal bowel movement and avoid mixing it with urine or toilet water.

Should I fast?

Yes, for eight to ten hours before the blood sample, with water allowed.
