About this package

Heart disease is a leading killer of women and is often under-recognised. This panel looks at cholesterol particles with ApoB, the inherited risk factor Lp(a) and inflammation with hs-CRP, along with HbA1c, fasting sugar and the lipid profile. FSH shows menopausal status, which changes risk, and the thyroid, liver, kidney, B12 and vitamin D tests complete a wide review. It suits women with a family history, diabetes, high blood pressure, early menopause or pregnancy complications.

A women's heart risk panel: ApoB, Lp(a), hs-CRP, FSH, HbA1c, fasting sugar, lipid profile, liver, kidney, thyroid, B12 and vitamin D.

What does this package cover?

The 13 tests are grouped into 8 health areas:

Blood count & inflammation 1 test

Red cells, white cells and platelets, blood group, and general inflammation markers.

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)

RBC count, haemoglobin, haematocrit, WBC count with differential (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, basophils), platelet count, and red-cell indices (MCV, MCH, MCHC).

Diabetes & blood sugar 2 tests

Current and 3-month average blood sugar, plus insulin markers for diabetes and insulin resistance.

  • Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS)

The concentration of glucose in your blood after an overnight fast.

  • HbA1c (Glycated Haemoglobin)

The percentage of haemoglobin in red blood cells that has glucose attached to it (glycated) - since red cells live about 120 days, this reflects average blood sugar over that period.

Heart & cholesterol 4 tests

Blood fats and inflammation markers that together indicate the risk of heart disease and stroke.

  • Apolipoprotein - B

The concentration of Apolipoprotein B in the blood, reflecting the total number of LDL and other harmful cholesterol particles.

  • High Sensitivity C - Reactive Protein (hs - CRP)

High Sensitivity C - Reactive Protein (hs - CRP) is a diagnostic laboratory test carried out on a blood sample. Your doctor may advise it to screen for, diagnose or monitor a related condition, with results reported against standard reference ranges.

  • Lipid Profile

Total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, triglycerides, and the calculated VLDL and total cholesterol/HDL ratio.

  • Lipoprotein (A) [Lp(a)]

The concentration of Lp(a) particles in the blood, a level that is largely determined by genetics and doesn’t change much with diet or lifestyle.

Liver 1 test

Liver enzymes, bilirubin and proteins that show inflammation, fatty liver or reduced liver function.

  • Liver Function Test (LFT)

SGPT/ALT, SGOT/AST, ALP, GGT, total/direct/indirect bilirubin, total protein, albumin, globulin, and the A/G ratio.

Kidney & electrolytes 1 test

How well your kidneys filter waste, plus the salts (electrolytes) they keep in balance.

  • Kidney Function Test

Blood urea/BUN, serum creatinine, eGFR (estimated glomerular filtration rate), uric acid, sodium, potassium, chloride, and calcium.

Thyroid 1 test

Thyroid hormones and antibodies - an under- or over-active thyroid affects weight, energy, mood and heart rate.

  • TSH Ultrasensitive

TSH Ultrasensitive is a blood test. A single, highly sensitive thyroid-stimulating hormone test to screen thyroid function.

Vitamins, bone & minerals 2 tests

Vitamin D, B12, folate and the minerals and hormones that keep bones and nerves healthy.

  • Vitamin B12

    Serum vitamin B12 (cobalamin) concentration.

  • Vitamin D (25-OH)

25-hydroxyvitamin D (the combined D2 + D3 form), which is the most accurate indicator of overall vitamin D status in the body.

Hormones & fertility 1 test

Reproductive and adrenal hormones used to assess fertility, periods, PCOS and hormonal symptoms.

  • Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH)

Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) is a blood test. Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) measures a hormone level to investigate glandular function and related symptoms such as fatigue, weight change or menstrual irregularity.

13 tests included (67 parameters)

Why consider this package?

  • 13 laboratory investigations in one booking
  • Looks at 8 health areas together, not in isolation
  • Samples collected at home; imaging at our Malad West lab
  • Costs ₹2,938 less than booking the tests separately
  • Useful for preventive screening, or when your doctor wants these tests together
  • Pathologist-reviewed reports shared online

Who is this package for?

Designed for

Women

Age group

All ages

Purpose

Health screening

Women over 35 with risk factors, including past gestational diabetes or pre-eclampsia, PCOS, early menopause or a family history of heart disease.

How often should you get it done?

Yearly for most markers; Lp(a) is a once-in-a-lifetime test.

Not everyone needs every test. Whether this package suits you depends on your age, symptoms, family history and any ongoing treatment - your doctor can advise.

What can you learn from this package?

The package can provide information about:

  • Blood count & inflammation - Complete Blood Count (CBC)
  • Diabetes & blood sugar - Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS) and HbA1c (Glycated Haemoglobin)
  • Heart & cholesterol - Apolipoprotein - B, High Sensitivity C - Reactive Protein (hs - CRP), Lipid Profile and Lipoprotein (A) [Lp(a)]
  • Liver - Liver Function Test (LFT)
  • Kidney & electrolytes - Kidney Function Test
  • Thyroid - TSH Ultrasensitive
  • Vitamins, bone & minerals - Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D (25-OH)
  • Hormones & fertility - Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH)

A package gives individual results for each test - it does not diagnose disease by itself.

How to prepare

  • Fast for 10 to 12 hours before the sample - plain water is allowed. An early-morning slot makes this easier.
  • Drink water as usual, and avoid alcohol and strenuous exercise for 24 hours before.
  • Take your regular medicines unless your doctor advises otherwise, and tell the phlebotomist what you take.
  • Wear a loose-sleeved top so the blood sample can be collected easily.

Understanding your package report

Your report lists the result of each test separately, with its own unit and reference range. Values outside the range are highlighted.

There is no single overall "health score" - each result is read on its own and then together with the others. One out-of-range value is not a diagnosis, and a normal report does not guarantee you are completely healthy.

Share the report with your doctor, who will interpret it with your symptoms and history. Call us if you need help reading it.

Frequently asked questions

Why do pregnancy complications matter for later heart risk?

Gestational diabetes and pre-eclampsia are linked to higher heart and diabetes risk later, so regular checks are advised.

Do women have different heart symptoms?

They can have breathlessness, nausea, back or jaw pain and unusual tiredness instead of crushing chest pain. Seek help for new symptoms.

How should I prepare?

Go without food for ten to twelve hours, but keep drinking water.
